Availability:- Single tickets, 3 days* ; Ireland 7 days.*
Return Tickets. Outwards and return within 3 calendar months.
* Not counting Sundays, unless it be day of issue.
Break of journey:- At any intermediate station, within the period of availability.
Availability by alternative routes:- By any recognised route on
L M S system, subject to additional payment where higher fare operates.

MONTHLY RETURN TICKETS |

Points of issue:- At any station on the L M S Railway to any other station in England, Wales and Scotland. (Except to stations on
the lines of the London Passenger Transport Board and between Glasgow and District Stations and Clyde Coast Piers.)
Availability : Outward and Return:- Any day within one calendar month. By any
train or steamer in either direction. Not available by Continental Boat Expresses of the
Southern Company.
Break of journey:- Any station in each direction, on line of route, within period of availability. (Not applicable ay Clyde Coast
piers.)
Basis of fare:-
Third Class: about 1d. per mile in each direction.
First Class; 50 per cent. over the third class fares, approximately 1½d. per mile in each direction.
*Minimum fares:- 1st Class, 3/9 ; 3rd Class, 2/6.
Special "Monthly Return" fares are given to Ports and Stations in Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight and Isle of Man. For particulars see special bills and announcements.
*The restriction as to minimum fares does not apply between L M S Stations in North Wales, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and
English Stations North thereof, between certain other Stations in Staffordshire, Cheshire and South Wales and between Stations within the area, Carlisle, Dumfries,
Portpatrick, Thornhill, Kilmarnock, Ayr, Dalry, Largs and Paisley. Full particulars may be obtained at the Stations and Agencies. |

DAY RETURN TICKETS |

WEEKDAYS:
Points of issue:- To Shopping and Sightseeing centres, Market Towns, Holiday Resorts, etc., not more
than 60 miles apart.
Availability :- As advertised. Holders allowed to alight at any intermediate station on outward journey on surrendering the outward
half of the ticket, and join and/or alight at any intermediate station on the return journey.
Basis of fare :-
Third Class about 1¾d. per mile in each direction.
First Class, approximately 50 per cent. over Third Class fares - less then 1¼d. per mile in each direction
This arrangement does not apply in Scotland
SUNDAYS: BARGAIN TRAVEL
(In addition to cheap short distance "local" bookings and advertised Excursions)
Points of issue:- Between any two stations on L M S, G. W. and L. N. E. Companies' lines in England and Wales.
Availability :- Outward by any rain leaving at or after 12.0 midnight on Saturday/Sunday.
Return, by any train leaving up to midnight on Sunday.
Basis of fare :-
Third Class about ¾d. per mile in each direction.
First Class, approximately 50 per cent. over the Third Class fares in each direction.
Minimum fares:- First Class, 3/9 ; Third Class, 2/6. |

Tickets can be obtained on application at most Stations within the area covered, and are issued at half rate, fractons od a 1d. reckoned as
1d., to children under 14 years of age.
Tickets for Dogs or Bicycles accompanying passengers are isued at 2/8 and 5/3 respectively.

INTERAVAILABILITY OF TICKETS BETWEEN
L M S, G. W. AND L. & N. E. RAILWAYS |
|
A passenger holding an ORDINARY RETURN, TOURIST or MONTHLY RETURN TICKET covering places served by the lines of all three of the L M S, G.
W. and L. & N. E. Companies, or any two of them (including Joint Lines owned by any two of these Companies) is allowed to travel on the RETURN journey between such
places by any of the recognised routes of these Companies.
Break of journey is allowed to holders of the above-mentioned tickets at intermediate stations on the alternative route.
WEEK END and other descriptions of REDUCED FARE tickets (except DAY, HALF-DAY and EVENING EXCURSIONS by Specified Trains) are also
available on the RETURN journey by the alternative route.
The Interavailability indicated above also covers the use of the three Companies' recognised routes to or from London, in the case of
passengers holding tickets via London, with places on the Southern Company's line.
SEASON TICKETS (Ordinary and Traders) are interavailable for THROUGHOUT journey between certain common places, and particulars can be
obtained from the issuing Company. |
