AVAILABILITY OF TICKETS |
|
Single and outward portions of return tickets are valid only for the date and
services specified thereon. Ordinary Return tickets are valid for three
calendar months from date of outward journey. |

INTERAVAILABILITY OF TICKETS AIR TO RETURN RAIL AND/OR
STEAMER |
|
Passengers holding return halves of Air tickets and wishing to return by Rail
and/or Steamer may, provided reasonable notice of cancellation of the return
air journey has been given, exchange the return half of their Air ticket for a
first class single ticket available by any recognised Railway and/or Steamship
route back to the terminal point of the Air ticket. By arrangement, the
services of the Belfast Steamship Company, Burns & Laird Lines, Isle of Man
Steam Packet Company and the Southampton and Isle of Wight Steam Packet Company
may be used in addition to the Railway Companies' steamships. |

INTERAVAILABILITY OF TICKETS RAIL AND/OR STEAMSHIP TO RETURN
BY AIR |

Passengers holding return halves of Ordinary, Tourist, Monthly Return, Week-end
or Holiday Rail and/or Steamer tickets, wishing to return by air or combination
of air and surface transport, may do so on payment of an appropriate
supplement. In the case of children, the published air fare must be paid
and application should be made to the Railway or Steamship Company for a refund
on the unused portion of the surface ticket. |

LUGGAGE |
|
Hand
baggage up to 35 lbs (25 Ibs. on certain services) per passenger allowed free,
excess weight at Air Freight rates thereafter according to distance. Children
travelling at half fare receive no free baggage allowance |

PASSENGERS' LUGGAGE IN ADVANCE |
|
Passengers by Railway Air Services and its Associated Companies may enjoy the
facilities of the rail and steamer luggage in advance arrangements and have
their heavy luggage collected, conveyed and delivered at any station where
cartage services exist, at exceedingly low charges. Full particulars can be
obtained at any railway station or office. |

BOOKINGS AND RESERVATIONS |
|
Bookings may be effected at any station or agency of the British Railways,
offices of Imperial Airways Ltd., Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, Belfast
Steamship Company and Burns & Laird Lines Ltd. Seats should be booked
in advance for either forward or return journeys. |

SPECIAL ADVANTAGE FOR RAILWAY SEASON TICKET HOLDERS |
|
Railway season ticket holders, including the holders of contract tickets on the
steamers of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, Belfast Steamship Company and
Burns & Laird Lines Ltd., are allowed a rebate of 10 per cent, on the
ordinary air fare for journeys by air between points within the area of
availability of their season tickets. The only formality is to-present the
season ticket at the time of effecting an air reservation at any R.A.S. office
or railway station and sign a voucher, there obtainable, entitling the season
ticket holder to the concession. |

RAILWAY "BULK TRAVEL" VOUCHERS |
|
Railway Bulk Travel Vouchers are accepted at R.A.S. Offices and railway
stations in exchange for Air Tickets on R.A.S. routes. |
